Fortnite Season 8: New map and new key locations on the island

The alien invasion has left its mark on the Fortnite map. As with each new season, the topography of the island has changed significantly. Several accident sites have appeared, which should be quite hostile areas. In fact, these areas (in orange) will be under the control of the cubes and will house hordes of minions that will not hesitate to attack you at all that they see you.

You can find here the new map for season 8, as well as its new areas below. Keep in mind that the island can still suffer changes during the season. The important thing is that those areas where the ships impacted, change the map in their central zone, being really interesting if the storm closes there.

Another novelty, Air ducts have been added in all the island . They will allow you to gain mobility, and therefore perform rapid rotations. If you have been in the weekend event, you know what it is. During the mission of Traitor Slone the players were able to use several of these ducts in the nodriza ship.

This new mechanics can be compared with the aerial wakes of season 9 of Chapter 1. You only have to jump inside to be absorbed, and then driven by a mysterious stream. These tubes will not go unnoticed since they are huge and have Kevin’s colors.

As you can see in the advance of the history and progress of the battle pass, the mood on the island has changed a lot, as it immerses players in a terrifying atmosphere. The new invasion, no longer from the extraterrestrials, but of the cubes this time, combined with the hordes of rins that lurk on the map does not augure anything good for the future.
