WWE 2K20 does not actually work in 2020
Shortly after considering the game as the worst of 2019, WWE 2K20 seems to have trouble with a new opponent — the year 2020 itself.
Several reports of users on social media note that a Y2K style bug has made the struggle game in difficulty almost totally unplayable. Any attempt to access most of the game modes leads to brutal crash, forcing users to start everything again.
According to multiple players on Reddit, the game has stopped working a few moments after the return of their game clock in 2020. The video below shows what some live. (Attention to the language.)
2k games is apparently aware of the case, noting in a tweet, hey superstars! We are aware of the problems related to the WWE2K20 crash and are currently investigating. We work towards a solution, and we will update you when we have more information.
In the meantime, for players who do not want to wait to return to the ring, there is a temporary hotfix involving changing the internal clock of your system. Mike, aka Theshiningdown, advised to look forward to change the date of your system 1 day back. This may be more difficult than it is worth it, however.
We do not know yet when 2k games will have a patch in place, but I hope it’s soon. WWE 2K20 has already seen its fair share of issues since its exit, including horribly bad seeds, complicated controls and a all DLC. With this last issue, it can be difficult to get back up.
